How to Build a SIMPLE Online Business

I have been working through how I run my online business as a homeschool dad and wanted to share the results with you today.

For me, I have to keep things SIMPLE. I often overcomplicate my business with lots of fancy ideas, marketing tricks, shiney objects etc. but during my reflection of 2023 I mapped out what was working. What I found changed the way I saw my business and brought tremendous clarity.

I shared with several other people who run online businesses and it helped them as well.

I figured I'd share it with you too.

I call it the SIMPLE Online Business Model and this newsletter will be sharing what I’ve learned about this FRAMEwork and I’ve documented in my upcoming book, “Simple Online Business Model.”

M - M͟a͟r͟k͟e͟t͟ ͟𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 Learning: Share on LinkedIn something you learned.

P - 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲: Create a bundle of knowledge as a lead magnet.

L - 𝗘𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 L͟i͟s͟t͟ ͟𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀: Send your email subscribers in-depth explorations or analyses of your weekly learnings.

E - E͟d͟u͟c͟a͟t͟e͟ ͟𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 Products: Offer books, services, or courses that walk through your framework, simplifying the topic for your audience.

That is what I do successfully in my company, IA Path, and that is what I plan to do now with Dadpreneurs. I want to practice this in public and share what I'm doing and have learned in the past 7 years, and what I continue to learn about running a SIMPLE online business.

I plan to help Dadpreneurs learn how to build SIMPLE Online Businesses.

As dads we are so torn between providing for our family and being there FOR our family.

I believe we can do both, but if you aren't careful your online business will take over your life.

The SIMPLE Online Business Model gives you a way to understand excactly what you need to do and to not get OVERWHELMED by what you COULD do.

YES, there are more things to running an online business, but they all fit INSIDE of each of these fundamental steps.

You can make an online business as complicated as you want. Like math, there is addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and with those you can do infinetely complicated problems.

Same with an online business.

These foundational building blocks of the SIMPLE Online Business Model give you the foundation to get started.
