Wish you had your own book that grew your business?
Often we spend so much time getting ready to write a book but we miss the most important questions that we should be asking.
Start with these questions...
1. Reader - Who is the person/customer you are trying to attract.
Your choices are,
- who you are
- who you were (2 years ago or longer before)
- who you love (people you love to serve)
2. Problem - What is the problem I can help them solve?
There are 3 growth catalysts to problems that help you reach more readers and get more customers.
- bigger is better (bigger the problem or bigger pool of people that have the same problem)
- smaller is faster (if you can solve a problem quickly it scales your sales and business faster)
- first in a series of problems = BONUS! (if you solve the first problem you’ll likely have opportunities to solve more problems for them)
3. POV - What is your unique POV (point of view) about how to solve the problem?
- make it unique
- make it yours
- make it a FRAMEwork
These 3 things decide your business and book niche.
Often the battle for having a successful book starts and ends right here. Nail this... and you'll have the foundation for a niche book that can grow your business.
As
This means the most important part of thinking... is thinking about thinking... think on that.
P.S. If you are interested in writing a book but the thought overwhelms you... you are probably making this MUCH harder than it needs to be. Consider writing a mini book.
